We want you to have a great time at the Tesco Hot Cross Bun Café so please make sure you are aware that:

We cannot guarantee entry for late arrivals, please arrive promptly for your reservation.

Every effort to seat latecomers will be made, however guests who are more than 15 minutes late for their reservation are at risk of forfeiting their table.

Cancellations made less than 24hrs before the reservation will not be refunded.

A child’s booking is needed for children aged 2 – 12. Children aged over 12 will require an adult reservation.

If you require a table for more than four guests, please contact TescoHXBCafe@splendidcomms.com and the team will be in touch to help facilitate the request if possible.

Numbers are limited so we are unable to accommodate additional guests if booked via OpenTable. Walk ins will be on a first come first served basis.

We will allocate seats ahead of time and guests will be shown to their seats upon arrival.

The Tesco Hot Cross Bun Café is wheelchair accessible, and a ramp can be made available on request, please contact TescoHXBCafe@splendidcomms.com at least 24hrs before your reservation to inform the team of any requirements you may have.


We are operating set menus throughout the duration of the pop-up including options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free guests. Please contact TescoHXBCafe@splendidcomms.com at least 24hrs before your reservation to inform the kitchen of any dietary requirements.

Please note that although we make every effort to cater for food allergies, food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, gluten and other known allergens may be present. Whilst we take caution to prevent cross-contamination we cannot guarantee there is no risk of cross contamination and cannot guarantee there will be no traces at the venue or in any foods as all cooking will take place in the same kitchen.


All diners who have reserved via OpenTable will pay ahead of arriving at the venue. Any requests outside of the pre-paid set menu will need to be paid for via pay points onsite.

All walk-ins will pay via pay points.

We are unable to accept cash, only card payments will be accepted.

Drinks Policy

One complimentary glass of Prosecco will be offered with afternoon tea. The Tasting Menu at dinner includes three cocktails which can be swapped for a glass of prosecco, wine, beer or a soft drink. There will be no serviced bar at the venue.

Cancellation policy

Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the Tesco Hot Cross Bun Café is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.


The on-site COVID Policy will be informed by, and take guidance from, UK government requirements and recommendations that are in place at the time your booking takes place. This may include (but is not limited to): wearing of face coverings, social distancing, double vaccination, COVID passports and Lateral Flow Testing.
